Dani was a special person and a gift on this earth I believe she was not only here to make my life greater but to remind me that I should always chase my dreams. I know you are surrounded by god’s love and I hope that when you hear this song it makes you smile that beautiful smile you have.
One of the most important aspects of why I create music is my family and friends. I take special pride in not only creating something I can love and appreciate but also doing so while creating moments they can look back on and smile with. Below is in fact one of those moments to look back on and aside from my hype man style promo in the beginning you get to see me performing and enjoying myself with my friends and family. Its one of several shows I did whilst working heavily in the Newark Delaware area it is the Cross Over Concert Enjoy.
Take a moment to imagine yourself in a room filled with individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds. You’re inside of a booming nightclub with music blaring and drinks flowing at a pace far too common in today’s world. You make your way over to the dance floor after hearing the all too familar crooning “Yeahhhh Baby” by New Jersey’s own Fetty Wap the One Eyed boy wonder with a voice and sound unique as it is infectious.
The Song Playing is his newest radio hit” My Way”
All in all its a simple song with a catchy hook that simply continues to carve out Fetty Waps lane of “ignorant R&B” (His words not mine) All is well in fact as the crowd sings along to the song until you reach the 1:17 mark of the track where Fetty sings the lyrics “…How dare that NiggER run his Mouth”
All this happened to me in fact not too long ago and As I sat there with fetty playing I started to wonder if my feelings of discomfort were unfounded or even worth talking about so I decided to take to the web. Let me know Is this just a case of me reading into things or would you like your child Niece or Nephew Singing along to Good Ol’ Fetty? Not just that but is the lyric including Nigger ok in todays music, mainstream or otherwise or should we only be allowed to say nigga? I’m curious. – WB
Things are still being iron’d out but its looking really good instead of me postiing whether it happens or not Id rather just embrace the excitement of this moment and share the song with you. Thank you for your support!
The Next steps for Iggy this year will be crucial after being one of the most dominating artist last year a lot of pressure is on her to follow up strong. On this track she calls in support from vocal powerhouse Jennifer Hudson. I’m saving my opinion until I hear it a little more but as for right now she seems to be moving at a nice pace and in the right direction from a sonic standpoint. Take a listen!
Laura Welsh is a singer-songwriter from Staffordshire, UK based in London. This track is off her new album release “Soft Control”. With smooth vocals and John Legend you can’t go wrong!! I definitely will be adding this to my playlist and you should too.
Who can forget the scene of Ryan Gosling having mouth sex with Rachel Mcadams in one of the most passionate scenes in “The Notebook”.
This scene and the film itself was hailed by critics as the best romance film in a long time and this scene in particular even won best kiss. I too was watching this movie and got swept into its sappy love story and sheer images of romance, until I realized I’m a black man.
LOVE in 1940’s WHITE AMERICA FOR A BLACK MAN WAS NON-EXISTENT
The Notebook does a brilliant job of keeping the true nature of this love story from coming to light. In every facet of the film its clear that Allie (Rachel Mcadams Character) and Noah (Ryan Gosling) Don’t care about Black People.
Let us not forget that the entire shape of our country was in a state of civil injustice and racial discrimination. Not only towards Blacks but all races. At no point though do we see either character take a position on the social climate of our country. Its like the director pretended for this film that the entire civil rights movement didn’t even take place and for that matter that black people must be all but extinct seeing that the only black person I remember from the film was the Nurse played by Starletta Dupois.
If your of the opinion that maybe I took an abstract approach while watching the film well then your damn right!!! I’m tired of hollywood making love stories that perpetuate love to be this grand and amazing experience where we can enjoy one person and turn a blind eye to what happens in the world. I believe the notebook is a contribution to the major issues women feel when they are trying to attain a Love that is like the one on-screen. I’m sorry I’m not sorry that the only part of the film I enjoyed was when the two characters who stood by and did nothing to help end the injustice in our society Died.
I’m not looking to ruffle the feathers of people who enjoyed a good love story but if your one who enjoys real love and real happiness not Hollywood force-fed crap. Then ponder for a second how great it would have been if for a scene the film showed Noah (Ryan gosling) building a house for a Struggling Black family looking for refuge from racist KKK Members attempting to lynch them Or Allie (Rachel Mcadams) Taking some of the money she has since she was born into a wealthy family to buy books for negro schools that couldn’t afford supplies to teach the children. I mean that to me is the epitome of a love story I would hope everyone could get behind. FUCK KISSING IN THE RAIN!!! Maybe I’m asking for too much or maybe I’m the only person who sees the fuckery that hollywood tries to pull to make millions. Or Maybe I’m just dreaming.
The reality is I’m worried about the state of love in our society! My belief is that the more we choose to have like’s we lose out on love! I need you to love yourself and not worry about being liked!!!!
